Bio - who,
what, and where I am!
I was born on Mt. Sinai. Okay, at Mt. Sinai. Let's just call it in
Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. That was in the late
50's. Living in
Queens, NY, I went to PS
165 where I was influenced by the likes of Sherry, Meryl, and
Reuben, making me who am I today. Then, moved to Plainview, NY on
Long Island. Spent some great summers in Warwick, NY and Great
Barrington, MA. Following JFK High, went to Boston University ...
B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, M.S. in Computer Engineering. Went
to Rochester NY for a year (that's enough!) where I worked at Kodak
in their medical products division and taught at RIT. Back to
Boston to teach at Boston University as the youngest tenure track
professor ... and took (and taught) some Ph.D. classes. Taught
full-time for four years, then part-time. Started a company with
my mentor, left there, and started my current company, Macraigor
Systems. Met Nancy at BU in the late 80's, bought a house with
her, married, had Hannah then Joe, got divorced and gave a get. Nancy and Joe
live about two miles from Hannah and me. Currently chairman of the
board of two start-up non-profit organizations as well as owner of
Macraigor. Living in Brookline MA and having a pretty darn good
life.
